PROVINCIAL GRAND LODGE at FLEETWOOD
Provincial Grand Lodge was held at Fleetwood on 7th May, 2008 and was attended by over 550 brethren. The distinguished guests processed in with acclamation followed by the Worshipful Masters of the West Lancashire Mark Lodges. The Rt.W.Provincial Grand Master then entered the hall accompanied by the acting Provincial Officers. He then received a deputation of Worshipful Commanders from the province of West Lancashire. The Rt.W.Provincial Grand Master then opened Provincial Grand Lodge in due form.
Salutations were then given to the Rt.W.Provincial Grand Master, Bro. Peter Connolly followed by the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, W.Bro Anthony Harrison. This was followed by salutations to the Assistant Provincial Grand Masters and Rt.Worthy Brethren.
The Provincial Grand Chaplain then gave a prayer of remembrance for those who had died in last year.
The minutes of the last Annual meeting were submitted for confirmation and were duly approved.
The Provincial Grand Treasurer then submitted his accounts for the year ending 31st August, 2007, for confirmation and was duly accepted.
The Provincial Grand Treasurer then reported that the dues payable to the Province for 2008/2009 would increase by 20p.
W.Bro. Robert Gorton Hall was then elected as Provincial Grand Treasurer for the forthcoming year.
W.Bro.'s were then elected as Auditors for the forthcoming year.
The Grand Officers were then saluted followed by the Provincial Grand Officers.
The Provincial Grand Secretary, W.Bro.Fred Hargreaves then presented his report. He firstly thanked his predessesor W.Bro.Frank Starkey for his support and assistance. He reported that there had been a small decrease in membership but was hopeful that the current year would show a increase. A collection was then taken for Charity.

The newly appointed officers were then saluted.
The Rt.W.Provincial Grand Master then thanked the Master and Brethren of Philadelphia Lodge of Installed Mark Masters No.1646 for making the arrangements for the meeting.
He then received an invitation for the 2009 meeting to be held at Fleetwood on 6th May, 2008.
Provincial Grand Lodge was then closed by the Rt.W.Provincial Grand Master and he processed from the hall accompanied by the Acting Provincial Officers.
