Welcome to The West Lancashire Mark Masons Web Site
Brethren,
The new Masonic season got well and truly underway with Grand Lodge in London on Tuesday, the 9th of September, where Deputy Provincial Grand Master Giles Berkeley and Provincial Grand director of ceremonies Arthur Robinson were promoted to Past Grand Junior overseer, both now Very Worshipful Brethren, in recognition of their work for the Province.
The turnout at the meeting was yet again outstanding with over 30 of our brethren dining, and several attending the meeting but unable to get tickets for the banquet.
Rt W. Bro H Keith Emmerson presided at the meeting in place of the Pro Grand Master who was indisposed.
Rt W. Bro Denovan Wilson was installed as the new Deputy Grand Master and Rt W Bro Peter Williams as Assistant Grand Master.
The acting Provincial officers briefing at the cricket club at Blackpool was extremely well attended by the New team and we look forward to having an excellent season ahead.
Team this year are led by Worshipful Brother Chris Walls, Senior Warden and a Worshipful Brother George Perez, Junior Warden I am sure they and the rest of the Provincial team will enjoy a wonderful year.
The Provincial Royal Ark Mariner assembly at the new venue of Westhoughton will see the investiture of the Royal Ark Mariner Provincial ranks, well done to all those who are to receive a preferment this year.
Once again, we are looking this season to promote recruitment and are arranging several Mark presentation evenings throughout the province. I hope that the host lodges will be well supported by their neighbours in good numbers. Please bring along your craft colleagues who have not yet taken the opportunity of joining our wonderful order.
Remember Brethren some of our craft colleagues are only waiting to be asked to join the Mark degree, so why not ask them along to the festival board at your next meeting to promote their interest.
I look forward to seeing you all at the team visits and other events throughout the province in the coming months.
