Welcome to The West Lancashire Mark Masons Web Site
Thank you for the fantastic support at the Grand Lodge investiture in London on Tuesday 9th June. Over 70 West Lancashire brethren attended the meeting with 64 dining in the Grand Connaught Rooms.
Four of our brethren were appointed to acting rank, Philip Gunning as Grand Junior Deacon, David Bell as Ass. Grand Director of Ceremonies and Henry Mayor and John Waring as Grand Stewards.
A further 12 Brethren were appointed or Promoted to past Grand Rank and I extend my congratulations to them all, enjoy your new ranks and continue to support both the Province and the Mark Degree. It is your example that sets the standard for other Mark Masons to follow.
The Most Worshipful Grand Master, HRH Prince Michael, presided over the meeting personally congratulating all the recipients which totalled over 420.
In the short time between the meeting and dinner I was privileged to have a few minutes to speak with the Grand Master and he was delighted that the Mark Degree is thriving in West Lancashire.
Amongst the Brethren attending were several MMM's from West Lancashire. Please take note the meeting is open to ALL Mark Mason's irrespective of rank. I am pleased to say that they all enjoyed the day, we even found some potential Stewards amongst them as they volunteered to act as table wine stewards on table A.
It was a great pleasure to have our Past PGM join us on the day, Peter was in fine form and we were able to sit together at the head of the two full tables of West Lancs Brethren.
The next Provincial event is the Fun Day on Sunday 28th June at Wellington Park, Leyland 12pm - 4 pm please support this day and bring all the family along with you. Even if you do not have young children it is a relaxing afternoon out in good company with food and drinks available.
