Earlier in the month we held our Provincial Grand Lodge meeting at Southport Theatre, and what a superb day we had with the staff at the venue, the Mark Secretariat and the Stewards from Philadelphia Lodge making everything run smoothly. I wish to express my thanks to them all in providing a feast of Mark Masonry.
I congratulate all who received an appointment or promotion at the meeting and thank you for your hard work in the mark degree both in the past, and of course, in the future.
As the season draws towards its close we look to the summer months and many Mark and RAM lodges hold social and fund raising events. Please remember to let the webmasters know what you are doing, they can then advertise your functions and hopefully help to swell your numbers. In return, you can send them a short report, with some photographs, and they will publish it on the web site for everyone's enjoyment.
One Major event is the Mark Fun Day that will take place at St. Saviour's in Bamber Bridge on the 7th July. As a result of last year's event we presented Rainbow Hose with £1,000. It is a family day intended for all masons and their families. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible there; we have such an enjoyable time. Please download the new poster and display it in your Masonic Hall if it's not there already.
In my address at Provincial Grand Lodge I said that if you do not have a candidate for advancement at your meeting, you should either work a demonstration or consider a lecture. To this end I have asked our Provincial Lector, Fred lomax, to update his list of available lectures. These can be obtained by contacting Fred, his details, and the list of lectures available is on a link in the 'About' section.
Please do return to the web site often as by doing so you will always know what is happening in the wonderful Mark Province of ours.
Mark Well
