Some Great News to Cheer Us All Up - Aug 2020 |
| Just in case you are not aware our recently retired Prov DC Dave Emmerson PGSD is recovering well after having a Triple Heart Bye Pass, it seems to be coming quite popular in the West Lancs Mark Lodges, I think we will soon have to create a club membership tie. The story goes that Dave went to the shops for some cigarettes and on returning home he fancied some homemade chips but on checking as usually happens he had no potatoes. |

| Any way he decided to go back to the shop and get some King Edwards, he made it back there ok but the next thing he knew was waking up on the floor!! Lucky for him there were two people in the shop who were confident in using a defibrillator, Dave believes they brought him back twice. |
| Before too long he was in the same ward I occupied at the North West Heart Centre in Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester, where he had the same operation which I had last Christmas. |

| The great thing is on speaking with him today he says he is feeling fine and doing well, he’s stopped using cigarettes in exchange for one of those vaper pipes which can only be a good thing, he’s walking to get some exercise but staying in a lot of the time away from this terrible Corona Virus. |
| I’m sure we all send him and his good lady our very Best Wishes and look forward to seeing him at one of our Lodge Meetings which hopefully will all start to get going sooner or later. |
