WREATHS Laid at St Annes and Lytham

On a pleasant late Saturday afternoon my wife Mary and I, as part of our daily exercise, took a walk to the St Anne’s Cenotaph. As I’m a member of Semper Fidelis Mark Lodge I had the honour of laying the remembrance poppy wreath on behalf of the Mark Province of West Lancashire. It was a very thought provoking moment as the town was eerily quiet, at a time when it would, in normal times, been very busy. There were twelve wreaths in all around the monument.

On Sunday morning just after eleven o’clock W. Bro. John Ogden, who is also a member of Semper Fidelis Mark Lodge laid a Provincial Mark wreath at the Lytham Cenotaph, he did notice several other masons nearby but due to the social distancing did not speak to anyone.
