Productive Scorton |
The latest meeting of Scorton Lodge of Mark Master Masons No 1103 at Garstang Masonic Hall was a short but very productive one. |

Following a ballot Norman Guy was admitted as a joining member. Norman joined Mark masonry over 40 years ago being advanced into Caldene Mark Lodge No 501 in West Yorkshire. He holds the rank of Past Provincial Junior Grand Warden. He moved to Garstang and joined Pilling craft lodge before joining Scorton Mark. From the manner in which he responded to the toast to his health Norman looks like he will be a fine asset to Scorton and the Province of West Lancashire. |
Also on the evening a successful ballot was held for a candidate. The lodge does not meet again until the autumn but in the meantime WM Ian Henderson has some summer reading to look forward to as he readies himself for an advancement. |
Bill Seddon had been unable to be present at the installation meeting as he was in London receiving an honour from another order. However he was not let off the hook and the keystone address was held over for him to undertake. He orated it in superb style. |

It proved a delightful evening of friendly Mark camaraderie made all the pleasing when the response to my departing words of “see you in October” was an encouraging “we’ll see you at Provincial Grand Lodge in Southport before then.” |
