V.W.Bro.Stuart Cowburn, Retires as Charity Leader
Some reminiscences on my retirement from the Mark Charity Committee.

I have been the leader of the Ionic Charity Group on West Lancashire Mark Charity Committee for 20 years and I have decided that it is now time to retire.

Charity has always been an important aspect of my Masonic career and I look back with satisfaction and pleasure on the achievements of the Mark Charity Group.

In no particular order I would like to list some of the projects which have benefited from our Charity donations , please take a little time to read them and you will realise the scope and variety of the help we have provided to both Masonic and Non Masonic good causes.

ROSEMERE CANCER CENTRE.  Donations to provide the latest scanning technology,
updating the Chemotherapy ward, and refurbishment the visitors lounge.
GALLOWAYS FOR THE  BLIND.  Finance for their audio book and newspaper service.
WIGAN LADIES SEWING HUB. PPE face masks.
REBECCA SIMPSON. A sports mobility wheelchair and tennis coaching.
DEFIBRULATORS.   One supplied to every Masonic meeting venue in West Lancashire.
SUE RYDER HOME. A Ride On lawn mower.
GEORGINA DILLON.  Sponsorship to go to Finland to attend a Girl Guide
  International Community Project.
ST. JOHNS AMBULANCE. A new ambulance for Preston

R.N.L.I. A large donation for a new lifeboat at Latham St.Annes.
REMEMBRANCE DAY BADGES. A pin badge incorporating the Mark Keystone , we sold hundreds of
  them for military charities.

Without the enthusiasm and generosity of our Mark Lodges and the support of our Charity Committee ,much of this would not have been possible . My sincere thanks to everyone who has contributed and helped our Charity Group during my time in office, and a massive thank you on behalf of all the deserving recipients we have helped.

Keep well everyone ,look after yourselves and I hope that we will soon be able to meet again.

Very Best Regards
V.W.Bro.Stuart Cowburn.
