The Lodge of Charity of Mark Master Masons No.935
15th February 2022
Dear Mark Brethren of West Lancashire

The Lodge of Charity of Mark Master Masons No.935 is going through a difficult period in its history.

This wonderful Lodge, which was formed in 1934, had 28 members in 2017.  A lack of new and joining members, and a recent resignation, now takes the number to 17 members, some of whom are no longer regular attenders.

This situation leaves the Lodge open to failure, and our Provincial Grand Master has asked me to publish this open letter on the website, to appeal to brethren who meet at Bryn, where the Lodge of Charity meets, and from the surrounding area, to consider becoming joining members of this fine Lodge.

As we all know, Bryn has some of the finest dining in the Province, and the Installation meeting is to be held next Monday 21st February, where I have been asked to attend to assist the Lodge in any way possible.  The Provincial Wardens have similarly agreed to attend, to show our support from Province.   If you are free to come along (apologies for the short notice) and see the Lodge for yourselves, I am sure you would be made most welcome.

Your point of contact for both potential Joining membership, or to attend the Installation next Monday (for which we only have 2 days to book – again my apologies) is W Bro Graham Corday PGJD who can be contacted on gcorday@outlook.com

I do hope you might feel able to lend your support, and potentially form part of the future of this wonderful and historic Lodge.

My sincere thanks, on behalf of the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master

W Bro Giles Berkley PGJD,
Assistant Provincial Grand Master
