Bispham with Norbreck Lodge of Mark Master Masons No 866 |
|
Friday 8th November 2024 at the Masonic Hall, Adelaide Street, Blackpool.
A meeting to advance Bro. William Richmond, who had attended the Craft Masons to dine night at Fylde Mark Lodge in September 2024. Bro. Richmond was proposed by Bro. Dolphy Taylor and seconded by WBro. John Brumfield.
The Lodge was opened by the WM, WBro. Gordon Ivett, with twenty members and visitors present, although a number of Officers were missing on the night and substitutes had to be parachuted in at the last minute. WBro. Clive Gitsham was as usual happy to stand in and assist.
The business of the meeting was rapidly worked through up to the advancement.
The WM requested that WBro. James Rashid occupied the chair for the purpose of the ceremony.
WBro. Rashid carried out the ceremony with his usual skill, sincerity and alacrity, accompanied by the Officers of the Lodge and stand ins.
Bro. Richmond was suitably advanced.
A letter of welcome from the RWPGM was presented to Bro. Richmond by WBro. Cross.
WBro. Giles Berkley proposed two candidates for advancement for the next meeting, both of whom had attended the Fylde Mark Craft Masons to dine night.
The Lodge was then closed by the WM and the Brethren adjourned to the bar and onto the festive board for an excellent meal accompanied by a great atmosphere and accompanying craic!
|
|
A Fylde fiddle was organized by WBro. Steve Smith and raised £103 for charity!
What is fast becoming the rule rather than the exception occurred again at the festive board with a photo once again providing the evidence! WM - 3 times maybe a charm!
An interesting night was had and enjoyed by all!
