| On Friday 23rd of January 2026 the Preston and Chorley Mark Grand Officers got together for an informal lunch at The Ship Inn at Freckleton. | |

| 12 Grand Officers came along, including V.W.Bro. Geoff Bury and W.Bro. Mike Pinckard, our APGMs together with our Special Representative W.Bro. David Robinson, who had been kind enough to organise the luncheon. | |
| The atmosphere was very relaxed and convivial, with lots of laughs, beautiful food and real ales at extremely reasonable prices. | |
| The surroundings at The Ship are second to none and the service was superb in the private Captain's Room, where we all sat around the circular table. | |
| The brethren enjoyed the opportunity to catch up with each other and chat, share ideas and experiences, some jokes and, sadly remember our M.W.Pro. Grand Master Bro. John Herbert Prizeman in departed merit. | |

| Everyone unanimously agreed to meet up again on the 22nd January 2027, having enjoyed the occasion very much. | |
| Please would all the Preston and Chorley grand officers put the date in your diary - 12:30 for 1pm. | |
| Hopefully more of the local Grand Officers will be free, and in some cases in better health, to join us. this time next year to further enhance the atmosphere. |
