Mark Province of West Lancashire 21st Century Club

Here I am asking for your kind continued or inaugural support to the West Lancashire Mark 21st Century Club (C21C).

This Club in turn funds our Province’s Charities; and at the same time offers you the chance to win substantial cash prizes.

Some of you have encountered the 21st Century Club before and indeed some of you have entered into the draw for many years; some of you perhaps haven’t heard of it – whatever the case, please read this short note as a reminder of, or an introduction to, the 21st Century Club.

Essentially, the 21st Century Club a “100 club” but without limiting its membership or tickets sold to 100 - a lotto.

The Club is a major source of fundraising for our Province and we hope to raise around £4000 p.a.

As there is no maximum to the number of tickets, the prize money is set at half of the ticket sales; the other half going directly to your Province’s Mark Charities Fund, which in turn supports good causes (masonic and non-masonic) local to your area.

First prize is expected to be £750, as previous years, with many other cash prizes.

The draw is made at our Provincial Grand Mark Lodge meeting in May each year at Southport, and the winners are notified immediately.

To operate the Club, I am reliant on the continued support of those who have already done so much over the years and they are again offered my sincere thanks; but I am also appealing to those who have either been unaware of the Club’s existence or have yet to take the opportunity to join, to consider doing so.

The cost is £5 per entry, but if you invest more there are offers, for example: for £20 you get five numbers, and £30 buys you eight numbers:

£5 1 ticket
£10 2 tickets
£15 3 tickets
£20 5 tickets
£25 6 tickets
£30 8 tickets
£35 9 tickets
£40 10 tickets
£45 11 tickets
£50 13 tickets
£55 14 tickets
£60 16 tickets

I’m sure that you can appreciate that the collection of cash by an individual at lodge meetings, around the largest Mark Province, is impractical, so other ways of gathering the ticket money need to be adopted.

Dependable, regular support is a great help to the Province in their planning to support Charities and for this reason I am asking you to fill in a form (see link and print) to set up a Standing Order to make an annual renewal of your entry with no future effort.

As it is a Standing Order (NOT a direct debit) you have the guarantee that the payment amount is always under your control.

When completed, please return it to me as soon as possible, at least 1 month before the next 21st Century Club cash draw (Mark Provincial Grand Lodge).

If you can not support the annual draw by Standing Order, I will accept a cheque for a one-off entry (i.e. the upcoming draw only) payable to “West Lancashire Mark Charities Fund, 21st Century Club”, but please ensure that it is received by 23rd April of the draw year.

Kindest regards and thank you for your time to read this
