Southport Mark Masons support War Memorial Appeal.

Mark Masons of Southport have supported the Holy Trinity Church Appeal for financial assistance following the recent desecration of the War Memorial.

The Provincial Grand Master of West Lancashire Peter Connolly joined Mark Taylor of Freshfield Mark and David Robson of Southport Mark to present a cheque for £1000 to the church representative Colin Ryan.

The money will go towards the replacement of the names of those who gave their lives in the two world wars.

The Rector of Holy Trinity Rev. Canon Rod Garner thanked the community in general for their support and added "This generous donation from the Masonic Order will ensure that the replacement memorial plaques bearing the names of the war dead will be of the highest quality."
