Provincial Deputy Grand Secretary

W Bro. Andrew W. Dickson, P.G.S.D.

In the Craft, Andrew was initiated in November 1989 into The Blackpool Lodge of Tranquillity No 6544 he served as Secretary for 10 years and was installed in the Chair of King Solomon in October 1996. His first Provincial rank was Past Provincial Senior Grand Deacon in 2005, and then Past Provincial Junior Grand Warden 2023. He has served as a Director of the Blackpool Masonic Hall Ltd for 18 years and has been the company treasurer for 8 years. The Blackpool Lodge of Tranquillity No 6544 closed in October 2024 and Andrew Joined Emblem Lodge No 6727. He is also a member of Senatores Lodge of Installed Masters No 8966.
 
In Chapter, he was exalted in September 1993 into St Annes Chapter No 2457 and was First Principal in 2005. He holds the Rank of Past Provincial Grand Sojourner.
 
In the Mark Degree, Andrew was Advanced into Bispham with Norbreck Mark Lodge No 866 in January 1993 and was installed as Worshipful Master in February 2006. He served as Secretary for 17 years.
 
Andrew served as Provincial Grand Registrar 2010-2012 and was the Provincial Grand Senior Warden in 2012. He was appointed as the Provincial Assistant Grand Secretary in 2018 and Provincial Deputy
Grand Secretary in 2019. He served as Provincial Grand Secretary 2020-2022 and is currently again the Provincial Deputy Grand Secretary.
 
He was appointed to Grand Rank in 2015 P.A.G.D.C. and promoted in 2020 to P.G.S.D.
Member of Adoniram Mark Lodge No 552 in 2010 and W.M. in 2023.
Member of Unity Mark Lodge No 544 in 2013 and served as Secretary for 7 years.
 
In Royal Ark Mariners Andrew was Elevated into Edmund Taylor Royal Ark Mariners in 2008 and was Worshipful Commander in 2015 and hold the rank of Prov.R.A.M.G.R. He was Provincial Grand Scribe 2020-2022 and is currently the Provincial Deputy Grand Scribe.
 
Andrew is married to Jane, and they have no children. He was elected a member of The Incorporated Association of Architects and Surveyors in 1987 as a Corporate Building Surveyor and was elected as a member the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 2001 and registered as a Chartered Building Engineer in 2014. Andrew worked in Local Government from 1973 up to his retirement in 2017. He was the Surveyor for the Borough of Fylde for many years.
 
In the Ancient and Accepted Rite Andrew is a member of The Blackpool Chapter Rose Croix No 136 since 1997 and was Most Wise Sovereign in 2013, a Knight Kadosh a member of the 300. He has been the Chapter Treasurer for 10 years.
